Job Title: Staff Assistant / Youth Program Art Instructor

Youth Program Instructor
Plan and implement youth art curriculum, ensuring engaging, age-appropriate, and creative lessons. Instruct youth art classes, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. Prepare and organize class materials, supplies, and classroom spaces. Collaborate with the Arts Education Manager to develop programming and maintain schedules. Work with outside groups on collaborative projects when necessary.

Reception & Customer Service
Welcome and assist visitors, members, and customers with a warm and professional demeanor. Process transactions, including class and clay purchases, registrations, and gallery sales. Answer phone calls and emails, providing helpful and timely responses to inquiries.

Operations Support
Perform opening and closing duties. Preparing for daily operations, and securing the facility at the end of the day. Assist with administrative tasks, including responding to customer inquiries, managing registrations. Set up and clean up for events, classes, and community programs. Maintain a clean and organized workspace for staff, students, and visitors.

Qualifications
Experience in art instruction, education, or a related field preferred.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with children and families.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Self-motivated with the ability to identify and complete tasks proactively.
Enthusiasm for the arts and a commitment to the mission of HAAC.

Availability to work a flexible schedule, up to 25 hours per week, including some evenings and at least 1 weekend per month.
