Japanese Paper Making

  • Holland Area Arts Council 150 E 8th St Holland United States (map)

Explore Eastern-style papermaking using traditional Asian fibers—Kozo, Gampi, and Mitsumata—to create delicate or durable handmade papers. You'll beat the pulp by hand, then make unique sheets incorporating dried flowers, threads, and dyed pulp. Use your papers for books, collage, painting, or as standalone art. Students may bring dried plant materials from home to include in their work.
