Painting: Improving the Fundamentals, Techniques, & Procedures of the Painting Media
Instructor: Larry Blovits
This 5 week class is geared to improving and mastering the basic fundamentals of light, volume, depth, color mixing, design, and content. Open to all painting media types. Each student is evaluated at their present level of understanding and competence, and instructed on how to turn problem areas into strengths. Discussion on technical aspects will clarify correct procedures of creating a sound painting statement. Instructional material will be distributed during the class and presentations will clarify the fundamentals and procedures. Students should bring their own supplies they plan to work with. Students are requested to contact the instructor prior to the class by email at larryjblovits@gmail.com with a statement of what they want to learn and examples of their current artwork. The Importance of Light
Instructor: Larry Blovits

In this workshop, Larry will explain the three unique light sources and their characteristics, along with equally important insights used to create and control the profound light statements in your paintings. You will be directed to experience each one of the characteristics during and in between class meetings to learn and master the use of light. Discussion, examples, and instructional handouts will help clarify what is taught in class. As a result of this important workshop, your artwork will improve to the next level toward the full mastery of light.
Students bring the supplies and medium they plan to work with.
